My Favorites: Beauty Addition

I love home decor....but I also love beauty products.  I am a true product junkie!  In college I was a make-up artist and freelanced for Smashbox, Laura Mercier, and Stila and I also worked at Sephora.  Then after college I was an assistant buyer in Cosmetics for Neiman Marcus.  I bought Chanel, Laura Mercier, Georgia Armani just to name a few.  Anyway, I have tried TONS and TONS of products!  It was my hobby and my job!
Below I am going to share just a few of my favs.  I will share more in the future.

DRY SHAMPOO
Why oh why did I not know about this until a year ago?  I truly think I have wasted a full year of time washing my hair that I didn't need too!  This stuff is a miracle product!  It gives your hair volume, smells amazing and dries up all the oil in your hair.  I use this even on the days I wash and dry my hair.  There is not a day that goes by that I don't use it.  I have tried several kinds...from super expensive to very cheap.  This one is my favorite!  It is inexpensive, smells amazing and WORKS!
MASCARA
You know the question...."if you could take one product with you on a deserted island what would it be?"  Mine would probably be mascara.  I mean deodorant and toothbrush would be first but if it was a beauty product...it would be mascara.  I leave the house all the time without make-up (due to one of my fav products below), but I NEVER leave without mascara!  It makes me look so much more awake.  This mascara below is my favorite and it is L'Oreal!  Steal right?!

CONCEALER
Luckily these days I don't have to use much concealer.  It used to be a product I could not live without because my skin was TERRIBLE!  I mean I coated my face in concealer.  Today I just throw a little under my eyes, but no matter where you are on the spectrum of concealing this one by MAC is awesome!!  A little goes a long way and it looks natural!

BRONZER
When you are as pale as I am bronzer is your best friend! I mean Casper and I could be related.  Anyway it is hard to find one that looks natural and Too Faced Sun Bunny is awesome.  It has 2 colors that I mix together and it gives a natural warm glow

HIGHLIGHTER
I use this on my cheek bones and all over my eyelid.  It is a beautiful shimmer, but not over the top.  Gives a natural highlight.  MAC knows how to do it with their Soft/Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish.
EYE CREAM
Listen, who out there isn't tired?!  As a mom of two kids the circles under my eyes could scare a raccoon.  Luckily this eye cream helps so much!  It reduces dark circles, puffiness and fine lines!  The perfect triple threat.  It feels so good when you put it on and makes me think for just a second I just had a nice spa treatment!  Who doesn't want that at the end of a long day?!
You can purchase HERE

SKINCARE
My most favorite beauty product ever has to be Rodan Fields UNBLEMISH.  It may sound dramatic, but it literally changed my life.  I have always suffered from Acne.  No matter what I used I just couldn't "fix" my skin.  From working in the industry I did I tried everything I could to help.  There were some products that worked from time to time, but nothing cleared my skin for good.  I used Acutane in my early 20s and this did work....until I got pregnant.  When I was pregnant with Avery I looked like I could have been on 16 and pregnant.  Seriously, I had pimples all over again!!
A friend introduced me to Rodan Fields and I really thought it was just another gimmick product, but I thought it was worth a shot since it had a 60 day $ back guarantee...I was desperate!  Well, it worked!  I mean really worked.  I have been using Rodan+Fields products every since!  I loved it so much and believe in it so much that I now sell the product.  I love helping others feel good about their skin like I now do.  For the first time in my life I will go to the pool, gym, etc without make up (and only mascara like mentioned above).
I also love their other products.  Now that I have cleared up my acne I am focused on sun damage and fine lines.
We have a product for all skin types
ACNE: UNBLEMISH
This is my actual photo!

SUN DAMAGE: REVERSE

REDEFINE: AGING

Like I mentioned ALL of the products come with a 60 day $ back guarantee so it is risk free to try it!  Anyone who becomes a preferred customer this month gets our award winning self tanner for FREE!!!
Email me if you have any questions houseofhargrove@gmail.com
I would love to help you!

What are your favorite beauty products???

'TOTE'ally love this

I LOVE BAGS!!  There I said it!  Just call me a bag lady.  Some ladies love shoes (ok I love those too), but my "thing" (besides home decor) is handbags, tote bags, luggage bags (in my case most of my handbags are huge like tote bags).  I love a designer bag and thanks to my days working for Neimans corporate I scored a few insane deals at our sample sales.  These days...the bigger the better.  I want a cute "mom bag".  Lets be honest....I carry TONS of stuff in there!  Anyway I was super excited when I saw this adorable tote at one of my favorite stores...Ballard Designs!
It had all the fixins of a winner...large size, burlap and sparkle!!  I mean....perfection right?!
And did I mention...ONLY $35!!!
Now, I had to decide which one...the gold or silver?
I posted this picture on Instagram last week and yall love it too!
I finally decided on the gold one and how do you make a burlap, sparkle bag even better??.....MONOGRAM IT!
It was only $6.50 to add a monogram!  Totally worth it.
I went with brown and I am telling you...this will be my new bag (for awhile).
Here she is:

I didn't even realize when I ordered it that it had a zip top and a zip pocket inside.  Even better!

Look how much room!  I have plenty of room for my stuff, diapers, bottles, snacks (oh my).
Anyway I love sharing my favorite finds with you and I give this one a rave review!  Cute, functional and an amazing price.  I may just have to get a bunch of these for Christmas gifts...they are perfect right?  I mean who doesn't love a monogrammed tote?!

Linking up with Andrea, Erika & Narci today for Friday Favorites

Farmhouse Console Table

My style has changed over the last few years and I am changing some of my more traditional pieces to farmhouse pieces.  I love the casual, comfortable feel of a farmhouse.
Here is a view of my family room from the balcony in our game room.  The table behind this sofa (next to the lamp) is the one I changed out.  This picture was taken before we got our awesome rug (which is on sale right now HERE).
while I do love this piece I wanted something lighter and longer.  We bought a much larger sofa once we moved into our new home so this one looked too small.
I fell in love with the Everett Foyer Table from World Market.  I couldn't get over the great price and amazing quality.  Its usually $299, but right now it is on sale for $259.99.
It was super easy to put together and it is the perfect size.  This table would look great in so many places!  Entryway, buffet, sofa table, long hallway, etc.
While I love it just the way it is I still love to put my own signature touch on most pieces.  I decided to add label pulls to the drawers for some extra character.  Best part...these awesome label pulls are ONLY $0.60!!!  It is one of my biggest shopping secrets!  I used these all the time.  The quality is great and you CANNOT BEAT THE PRICE!!!
I used screws and colored them black with sharpie!  You really cannot tell.  I also added some white paper which I want to add writing to, but haven't done it yet.
Such simple detail and ONLY $1.20, but I love the extra character it adds to the table.

I didn't notice until I posted this picture that Braden (11 months) did some decorating of his own by playing with the books and hiding his paci in there...can you find it? :)

Are you all thinking about what you can add those label pulls too?? ;)
Happy decorating!

Halloween Decor-Bats

I shared my Halloween Home Tour with yall on Monday and since then I have seen all these amazing 3D bats in peoples homes and I love them!  They really add a lot in a very inexpensive and easy way.  I went to Michaels to get the Martha Stewart ones because they come in varying sizes, but they are sold out everywhere in my area.  Then I went to Target and found these awesome ones for only $5!!  They also are chalkboard if you want to draw faces/write names, etc.  There are lots of uses for them.  You can get them at your local store or order them HERE.
I hung mine with painters tape so it wont mess up the walls and I can save them for next year!
I just love them!  There were 16 in the package, but not gonna lie...I kinda want them all over the entire house.  They also have spiders, but those kinda freaked me out :)
Here is my fireplace before:
