Valentine's Day card printables

Valentine's Day is around the corner so time to get those Valentine's ready!  Avery went to a party last week so we got ours done a little early.

POPCORN VALENTINE
We went to our local candy store and bought some of Avery's favorite popcorn...confetti (gross haha) and then mixed it with regular popcorn. Then put it in snack size baggies and stapled the Valentine part to the top.  Super simple.  Here is a FREE printout of the popcorn one.

BUTTERCUP VALENTINE
This one was also super simple!  Just get some Reeses Buttercups put them in snack size bags and staple this topper to it.

Hope yall have a wonderful Valentine's Day!!

3 Halloween/Fall decorating ideas-less than $10

Yay, the weather in Texas is finally starting to get cooler!  This makes me so happy (but especially since I am 34 weeks pregnant and hot all.the.time!).  I have been busy decorating for Fall over here and I will be doing a tour of my home soon with all of my Fall decor.
Today I am sharing 3 adorable decorating ideas that are easy and inexpensive!!!  Like, less than $10 (more like $5)

IDEA 1: Fall Tea towel

I found these great chalkboard inspired tea towels at Homegoods for only $2.99!!  They are super cute and huge so they make great art!!  I actually did a giveaway for one on my Instagram last week (be sure to follow me there to not miss out on any deals or giveaways...another one coming soon!!)
I bought the Fall one and put it in a large frame I already had!

Here is the final result!  I LOVE the way it turned out!
Art for only $2.99!!

IDEA 2: Clipboard Art

I found these clipboards for $3 each in the Target $spot.  They had a picture of ideas on how to use them and I LOVED it!
Thanks Target!!
Although $3 is not that much it is still more than I wanted to spend since I had to buy 3 (I told you I wanted cheap projects) so I headed over to Dollar Tree!  I found exactly what I was looking for there for $1 each!
I loved the BOO idea so I picked a font I wanted to use ( I used Selfish...click HERE for a free download) and typed it out in Powerpoint (you could also do this in Word).  I used size 600 font.
Then I printed it out, clipped it to the clipboard and viola....art for only $3!!!  I will be changing what it says for the different holidays so I can reuse it!  I just love it!

Idea 3: Ramekins with Pumpkins
I found this adorable pair of ramekins in the $ spot at Target for $3.  They came in white, bone and red.  I bought the white ones.  I LOVE how simple they are.  The beading looks so pretty in person.  They actually match my Pottery Barn Emma dishes!
I bought several of them and then added filler and some mini white pumpkins.  I found those at our local grocery store...Market Street.
One of my friends did it on her dining table and here is her picture.
I love how simple this looks!
I have a large Fall display on my dining table, but we host Thanksgiving at our house so I have to clear everything off to leave room for the food and I will line these up down the center of my farm table!
Depending on how many ramekins you buy here is the cost:
4 ramekins: $6 (2 for $3)
4 mini white pumpkins: $4 ($1 each)
Filler: free- go pull some grass from outside.
Total $10

Hope you found some good ideas you can do around your house!  I love finding cute, cheap decor!
Happy Fall decorating Yall!

Flash card art

I love making unique art for my home.
I found some great flashcards at a local antique store for $1.
I picked ones that had a simple word on them so I could add my own words next to them.

Here are the before & afters and below I will teach you how simple it is to make your own!

Unfortunately, I was not blessed with the gift of awesome handwriting!  I would give anything to be able to do my own calligraphy, but I am just not that great at it.  I LOVE the art of handwriting and collecting fonts!
You can see some of my favorite fonts HERE, HERE, HERE & HERE.

So, I used this really easy technique
to get the look:
Step 1: Pick out the word and font you want to use and type it out in word or powerpoint.  Print out the paper the size you want the word
Step 2: turn over the paper and color the back of the word with pencil lead
Step 3: lay the printed word where you want it on the flashcard and then trace over it.  This will leave a stencil on the flashcard
Step 4: color in the word

I used Emily Lime Carolyna Pro for the Faith and Thankful card.
I used Feel Script for the Believe Card.

I have several more I need to make.
You could do a great verse too.  I have another 'She' flash card that is larger that I am thinking of putting:
"SHE turned her cans into cants and dreams into plans"
I also want to do some with bible verses.

Here are some examples of where I placed the cards around the house.

This one is in my daughters new big girl room.

This one is in our family room.

Here I used it in my Fall decor.

Each of these only cost me $1!  This is the kind of project I LOVE.
I plan on doing some cute Christmas ones too!
I LOVE decorating with flashcards.  I stick several into my Christmas Tree each year.  You can see those below!

Have fun making yours....love to hear what you come up with!

Fab Font Friday

If you have some favorite fonts I would love to hear what they are.
My favorite font designer is Emily Conners at Emily Lime Designs.  She is a genius.  I must admit though...I am super cheap and don't like to pay for fonts BUT if I was going to...I would definitely buy all of hers!  what.a.talent

Here are some more of my favs!

I am a font addict

My name is Elaine Hargrove and I am a font addict.
I get asked a lot who makes my Barn Sale fliers and other House of Hargrove promotion artwork and it is all me!  I have no background in this just a passion for it.  I can spend hours working on fliers, etc because I love it so much!
So I decided to share some of my favorites with you....
