Farmhouse Console Table

My style has changed over the last few years and I am changing some of my more traditional pieces to farmhouse pieces. I love the casual, comfortable feel of a farmhouse.

Here is a view of my family room from the balcony in our game room. The table behind this sofa (next to the lamp) is the one I changed out. This picture was taken before we got our awesome rug (which is on sale right now HERE).

while I do love this piece I wanted something lighter and longer. We bought a much larger sofa once we moved into our new home so this one looked too small.

I fell in love with the Everett Foyer Table from World Market. I couldn't get over the great price and amazing quality. Its usually $299, but right now it is on sale for $259.99.

It was super easy to put together and it is the perfect size. This table would look great in so many places! Entryway, buffet, sofa table, long hallway, etc.

While I love it just the way it is I still love to put my own signature touch on most pieces. I decided to add label pulls to the drawers for some extra character. Best part...these awesome label pulls are ONLY $0.60!!! It is one of my biggest shopping secrets! I used these all the time. The quality is great and you CANNOT BEAT THE PRICE!!!

I used screws and colored them black with sharpie! You really cannot tell. I also added some white paper which I want to add writing to, but haven't done it yet.

Such simple detail and ONLY $1.20, but I love the extra character it adds to the table.

I didn't notice until I posted this picture that Braden (11 months) did some decorating of his own by playing with the books and hiding his paci in there...can you find it? :)

Are you all thinking about what you can add those label pulls too?? ;)

Dining Room details

Earlier this week I shared my new updated dining room and today I am sharing some details!

I LOVE decorating, and getting amazing deals makes it even better!

Here she is!

I got this beautiful weathered grey piece at AtHome stores. I love that I can change it up by placing new things in it. This will be so much fun during the holidays. It was $39.99

I wanted to add something simple to the inside and when I saw these greenery balls at AtHome Stores I knew they were perfect! Here is my little secret.....they are Christmas Ornaments!!!

Moss Balls are sometimes a little pricey, but these adorable balls were only $3.99!!!

So cute right?! I love using Christmas ornaments year round. There are some beautiful glass ones tied in rope that I have used many times for fillers in bowls, etc.

I got these distressed white boxes at AtHome as well. I put them on both sides of the center piece and filled them with old mason jars. I crinkled some old book pages on the bottom.

I love white dishes! I got this amazing cupboard on Craigslist for a steal!! These dishes are faux Ironstone so they have the look, but are much cheaper.

The are AWESOME!! They are random shapes and sizes and I couldn't be more happy with them.
To get the platters to stand up and not slip I use rubber bumpers like these.

I am also obsessed with these pitchers and they are on my "Christmas List" (wink wink)

Did I mention I like white dishes! Ha.

3 Halloween/Fall decorating ideas-less than $10

Yay, the weather in Texas is finally starting to get cooler! This makes me so happy (but especially since I am 34 weeks pregnant and hot all.the.time!). I have been busy decorating for Fall over here and I will be doing a tour of my home soon with all of my Fall decor.

Today I am sharing 3 adorable decorating ideas that are easy and inexpensive!!! Like, less than $10 (more like $5)

IDEA 1: Fall Tea towel

I found these great chalkboard inspired tea towels at Homegoods for only $2.99!! They are super cute and huge so they make great art!! I actually did a giveaway for one on my Instagram last week (be sure to follow me there to not miss out on any deals or giveaways...another one coming soon!!)

I bought the Fall one and put it in a large frame I already had!

Here is the final result! I LOVE the way it turned out!

IDEA 2: Clipboard Art

I found these clipboards for $3 each in the Target $spot. They had a picture of ideas on how to use them and I LOVED it!

Although $3 is not that much it is still more than I wanted to spend since I had to buy 3 (I told you I wanted cheap projects) so I headed over to Dollar Tree! I found exactly what I was looking for there for $1 each!

I loved the BOO idea so I picked a font I wanted to use ( I used Selfish...click HERE for a free download) and typed it out in Powerpoint (you could also do this in Word). I used size 600 font.

Then I printed it out, clipped it to the clipboard and viola....art for only $3!!! I will be changing what it says for the different holidays so I can reuse it! I just love it!

Idea 3: Ramekins with Pumpkins

I found this adorable pair of ramekins in the $ spot at Target for $3. They came in white, bone and red. I bought the white ones. I LOVE how simple they are. The beading looks so pretty in person. They actually match my Pottery Barn Emma dishes!

I bought several of them and then added filler and some mini white pumpkins. I found those at our local grocery store...Market Street.

I have a large Fall display on my dining table, but we host Thanksgiving at our house so I have to clear everything off to leave room for the food and I will line these up down the center of my farm table!

Depending on how many ramekins you buy here is the cost:

4 ramekins: $6 (2 for $3)

4 mini white pumpkins: $4 ($1 each)

Filler: free- go pull some grass from outside.

Total $10
